HauzGenie ("we", "us") operates a chatbot lead capture service deployed on real estate websites. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Information We Collect
Personal information you provide: name, email, phone number, your home preferences (location, budget, bedrooms, timeline, financing status), and any other details you share during the conversation. We also record a timestamp of your consent (your first reply to the chat) and the page or campaign that referred you.
Anonymized usage signals: we record per-message events that contain no personal information — the type of event (e.g. a question was asked, a listing was shown), a coarse intent label derived from your message ("pricing", "schools", "schedule a visit"), and bucketed values (price ranges, bedroom counts, city). We never store your name, email, phone number, or raw chat text in this anonymized stream.
How We Use Information
Personal information is used to notify the real estate agent or builder you contacted, so they can follow up with you about your home search. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with any third parties for marketing.
Anonymized signals are used to improve our chatbot's helpfulness over time and to give the agent or builder you contacted aggregate insight into what visitors ask about (for example, "30% of buyers asked about HOA fees this month"). These aggregates never include your identity or anyone else's.
Your personal data stays with the agent or builder who captured your inquiry. It is never shared with other agents or builders on our platform.
SMS Notifications
We use Twilio to send automated SMS messages to real estate agents and builders who have opted in to receive lead alerts as part of their service subscription. Message frequency depends on lead volume. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Data Retention
Personal lead information is retained for as long as the agent or builder you contacted maintains an active account, so they can follow up and serve you. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below; we will remove your record within 30 days.
Anonymized usage signals are retained on an ongoing basis to support product improvement, but they cannot be linked back to you.
